Move More Kids is a childhood obesity prevention program developed in 2007 through a grant from the New Balance Foundation.

Move More Kids initially provided funding to schools, after-school programs, and communities for physical activity equipment or structural improvements that encourage physical activity. Move More Kids now partners with Let’s Go! to offer programming in these areas, as well as the childcare setting, expanding our reach to children ages 0-18.

For more information on how you can increase healthy eating and active living in Somerset County, please contact us.

Move More Kids works with 17 schools in 6 school districts in Somerset County to assist staff in creating healthier environments for enrolled students.

Move More Kids targets ages 0-5 in the childcare setting by educating childcare providers and parents and providing them with resources on the importance of healthy eating and active living.

Move More Kids provides the community with equipment and resources for being physically active. We also work to engage parents and older adults in community events, and we identify county-wide locations to be physically active
